Question Ftra ?????

Is it possible to use the FTRA if you have already done the FRA mod?

yeah, FRA is part of what you need to do to have the SSRA, SLP CAI, and FTRA to work well.

FRA is fine but you must have your ac condenser for proper fit. All the ram air kits sit on the condenser. I tried finding a ram air for mine without ac but no luck.

Here's a direct quote from Albert Austin, manufacturer of the SSRA: "Larry, I don't believe it wood work. The condensor is
needed for support. You'll have the same problem with
any of the other cold air kits I believe."

One more question, do I need to have the plastic deflector piece installed for the FTRA to install properly?

nope, don't have mine...i wouldn't advise doing the fra mod and taking it out, but if you get the ftra or ssra, you will be fine

Default The answer

You DO NOT need to have the AC condenser in place to install the FTRA. We do recommend you have the plastic air deflector installed as it helps to route air into the FTRA and also helps to support the center section of the ductwork. However, if you have lost this piece, you can still install the FTRA but it will not work quite as well.
