FRA is fine but you must have your ac condenser for proper fit. All the ram air kits sit on the condenser. I tried finding a ram air for mine without ac but no luck.

The answer You DO NOT need to have the AC condenser in place to install the FTRA. We do recommend you have the plastic air deflector installed as it helps to route air into the FTRA and also helps to support the center section of the ductwork. However, if you have lost this piece, you can still install the FTRA but it will not work quite as well.
