pacesetter install

i just got my pacesetter LT's and ORY in today. they were easy once i got the stock stuff off. this was my first time doing anything this indepth. i broke a spark plug so i had to get new ones. then i broke a plug wire and had to get new ones of them.

after that the headers slipped right in and bolted up.

i love it. it is so loud!!!!!!!!

i need to get a cat back so i dont get pulled for it being to loud what should i expect to see out of this stuff on the dyno?

glad you like them...you will notice more of a gain with a catback or a cutout with the headers as well

right now im running no muffler so it would be the same as a cutout right?

not exactly, if i were you i would either buy a cutout and run it in the i pipe, or you can buy a catback...i would suggest the catback like a magnaflow which is $389.99 from www.tbyrne.com or pick up a used catback in the parts for sale section.

i ordered them on the 16th of october and they got to my house on the 25th of october. they came faster than i expected.

Most people typically gain 20-25 rwhp from a LT/ORY install. Some cars will really need a tune though to get this out of them.

yes, you do need a tune, your car will be running rich without one...i just installed pacesetters on a TA with a cutout, and it sounds mean, but is running rich...throw a catback or a cutout and really open her up

I picked up 2mph with a heavier race weight. So 20-25rwhp STD, not SAE. I havent re-dyno'd yet but I'll keep you posted if I can get one in before my cam swap.

SDC you lost me on that last post, are you saying that LT's and orp will net you less than 20-25rwhp SAE corrected?

Well I'm saying I gained ~20rwhp in NON SAE conditions. That was with a cutout also. It was probably 66 outside I think SAE is around 72. So they would probably be less due to the correction factor of SAE.

Keep in mind this is with no tune or anything. SES light is even still on LOL.

Gains from the tune vary a lot from car to car, but generally you'll get anywhere from 5-15 hp from it.

Im glad i don't have to wait as long as yall did. I only live like ten minutes from TSP. I am going to install headers and ory aswell here in about a month when i get the cash.
