why does he have to used to it if there is something that could be done about it. and he's asking for help in the help section.
if he's running too rich after the headers install, then further tuning will not just help MPG but help performance.
and i drive 30k miles per year. gas mileage does matter at $2.07 for 93 octane...and soon to be $2.70+ for 91 octane when i move to CA.

i'm very curious to know how it would do if you take it out?
guys on here will knock you for having it, but i really want to know.
i'll be driving from Wash DC to California soon and i might just pick one up and see if it works since i'll be doing some serious nonstop driving with the cruise control.

Before my Headers, i averaged 24-26 mpg city. A tad more on the Highway.
Granted i've only had my headers for a week, but i've cut that number in half.
At first, i didn't smell the fumes, but i do now. Going to get a tune this week in hopes
of regaining some of my lost mpg's and finally get rid of my SES light. If the fumes are
still too bad, i'll figure out how to run my duals over the axle and out the back.
Yes, i drive a V8.
Yes, i put 93 octane @ $2.13 in my car.
Yes, i have a heavy right foot.
NO, there is no reason i shouldn't get decent (high teens) gas mileage.
