The condenser is the heat exchanger that sits in
front of the radiator. Do you mean the compressor?
I've never heard a condenser make noise, it just
has gas flowing in one end and liquid out the other.
I have had compressor clutches go bad, it may be
the bearings are just getting crusty or worn. When
the A/C is engaged the compressor clutch no longer
spins on its bearings, it spins along the compressor
shaft on the internal bearings instead.
I believe the compressor clutch can be replaced
separately, but as long as it spins freely I would
just wait. Dunno if there is any lubrication you
can or should do, that wouldn't also mess up the
clutch itself.
