I had the same problem with my y pipe. I put a pry bar inbetween the floor and the pipe and pried on it then i took a piece of 1/4in round steel and bent it around a piece of 3in pipe so it looked like a "?" and welded it so theat the strait part hit the floor. Withe a piece or rubber hose over it it acts like a spring and keeps the pipe away from the floor. Sorry if its hard to understand Thats the best I can think to describe it You can also try to glue a piece of rubber to the floor to dapen the sound. I've read or a few people puting a poly motor mount it the drivers side so the motor doesent tq over as much. hope this helps.

I just pried the floor board up a bit just enough for the y-pipe to clear. Problem solved.

Did not have that problem with my Kooks. But I would use a pry bar and lower the Y-pipe down.

I didn't get the full effect from them until I got my car tuned.

yeah LT headers do make a noticable difference, and the flowtech coated LTs are the best bang for your buck, but i was also told that when they hit against the floor i lose HP, so when i fix the banging problem, it may even be better.

so if in order to stop the banging on the floor, i should pry the floor boards up? how should i do this? with a hammer? or is there any other way?

also there is a different smell coming from my exhaust. im assuming that it is b/c im running no cats b/c im pretty sure i installed my O2 sensors correctly.
