Default cutting the dip stick tube, read inside...

well my dip stick tube for the oil sticks up really high and i dont like it. im tryin to clean up under the hood. can i cut some off the tube? and then cut the dip stick an equal amount? then i would re hatch it with the dremil. i just see the top of the tube is larger and what i can do to make the tube sit back in there if i cut it. thanks

Just get a billet one from speed inc.$49 and you wont have to look at that ugly yellow
ring.

Cheap-***. Anyways, you won't be able to use your dipstick for checking your oil level anymore. Duh!

cheap ***? whats yoru problem?? that is a waste of money for a dip stick tube. and if you read the post, i cut an equal amount off the dip stick so i can use it. decided to cut the top off so i still have the hatches. why would i pay 50 damn dollars for that?? id rather put the money into making the car faster. no need to be a smart *** about things. this is a tech site for help not people to be dicks. and as far as i knew that was just for the **** not the entire dip stick tube, set down lower.

And leans a little farther under the hood!!!! LOL...

Sorry, smart asses abound around here. Seems like you have it well in hand, and you are on the correct path with "put the money into making the car faster" rather than making it "purdier"... Although many will tell you they are already pretty fast as it is.
