ASP vs March! About to order...need advice

ASP vs March! About to order...need advice Ok, guys...here it is. I am about to order my underdrive pulley from Thunder Racing...which should I go with? Should I get the ASP or the March? Thanks in advance.

I went back and checked out an old thread I posted about pulley's and it was a toss up between the two. Most people seemed to recommend the March, though, since it is fluid dampened.

My March has seen 3 road race weekends ... no issues at all ...
I like the fact the march is fluid dampened for one. Another reason I like them is because they weigh near stock, smaller yet near the same weight. You don't want less to dampen crank harmonic's IMO. I've had mine for a year, to many passes to count
& prolly 7K on it > no problems + w/ a roll master double T-chain. No mods bolts right up.

I just installed the March pulley and it seems to rev noticably better in the high rpms. I had just a slight vibration it seemed before between 6k and 6600 rpms. It's gone now so I'm sold on the March pully and very happy with it.

What's so good about fluid dampening?
Nothing necessarily, through stock RPM ranges. I've often wondered if you aren't worse off in the lower ranges in terms of harmonics and engine balancing with a FD .These things are best for high-rev applications IMHO.

If the March pulley really is 4lbs heavier than the ASP some of the benefits of a lighter smaller pulley are lost with the March. I would assume the ASP would show more hp gains and I've never heard about any problems with the ASP.
I will be installing my ASP pulley this weekend if the pulley installer threaded rod comes in that I ordered from code4.
It looks from his sig like he already decided, but I would say:
-Get the March for peace of mind (even though you don't need fluid damped)
-Get the ASP if you're looking for every last bit of hp (even though you probably won't feel the difference from the march)
-If you're still undecided, get the one that's cheaper.
