I've spent many hours on ls1sounds I really like the borla mouth sound. didnt realize that the dual / dual was on the quiet side though.

Everybody has their own opinion on what's loud and what's quiet. There is no way to find a clear answer to this question without going out and listening to cars in person. Go to your local dragstrip or weekend car hangout place and ask and listen.

Ya thats my plan since I haven't heard any in person. All the drag strips / hang outs are dead here in Oregon until about late april so I just gotta hang tight.

I have to agree with the dual-dual being the quietest. I won a quietest exhaust competition with my Hawk several years back (completely stock exhaust).

Quietness is why I got rid of my dual/dual...but if that's what you want, it would more than fit your bill. I've also really liked the sound of a B&B Triflo even though I've heard they don't flow so well...there's a guy with one around here that just sounds really, really nice. I just don't want my exhaust to be that quiet. Time for catless over the axle duals for me.

I've heard every catback on the market (that I know of). The Dual/Dual is the quietest I've found.

BTW, Dual/Dual with headers and no cats sounds awesome!

my buddy has an 85ish model chevy truck w/ a built 350 and LT headers. he's running those super-turbo mufflers you see in jegs. they are quite as hell!!
