Unhappy Squealing from engine bay!!

Started the TA today and heard a squealing noise from the engine bay.. I popped the hood up but couldn't really zero in to where it was coming from...

Its pretty loud and didn't go away after a warm up and short drive either

Details on the ride:

- 98 TA A4
- 99,384 miles

Recent changes:

- Oil changed 3 days ago
- BMR SFCs installed 2 days ago

Mods:

- SLP lid
- GMMG Exhaust

Never heard that noise before today

I wonder what could be going, or has gone, bad ? I've only had the car for about 5 months now..

Please help!!

Same problem here. A freind came over and we took the power sterring belt off and the squeeking stopped but resumed when back on, spraying some wd40 on the idler pulley below the tensioner and the noise went away, also the noise went away when spayed on the top of belt. I did a search and found a bulleten for this squeeking, only 98-00

Replace parts;
Double Idler pulley / 12563326
Alternator Bracket / 12563327
Serpentine Belt / 12562626

I'll update my post.

If that doesn't fix it the AC belt tends to squeak as well (smaller belt).
