Alright, another question, I know that you get a huge power gain in lsx vs ls1, especially after engine work and what not, but my question is, if i'm planning on a cam and my theory is "do it once and do it right", and am planning on the 90mm LSX intake, is it alright if i put it on before cam and tuning or is it better to put em on at the same time or is it best if i put cam on first? I was basically wondering if it'd be alright for me to do LSX before cam(90mm).

 

You can do it before cam. Only thing is, is that you will not see that much of a gain until you put a decent cam in there or some engine work.

 

the thing is, i have the ls1 intake now(not ls6 of course), so i was thinking it might show me more power gain that i may think being that i dont have the ls6(and people see like 5-10 hp with bolt ons and ls6), and i have a slightly larger cam than the 01-02's, but i dunno...ima have kooks longtubes and tsp true duals before i do this, and probly some minor suspension and nitto 555r's.

 

The stock cam difference in the two years isn't big enough to show gains as the aftermaket cams do with the LSX 90mm setup. I would just save up and buy both at the same time and install both at the same time. You will enjoy it a lot more
