You only have to remove the stamped steel piece that is in the middle of the car that goes under the driveshaft tunnel. Not sure what it is for but it went under the exhaust and driveshaft. The actual cross member for the trans is still stock on my car. It's just really close to hitting, but nothing seems to hit yet.

do you get any gas smell when you turn the heater on (no a/c) with those?

not yet...but i have only drove it for one night. car usually sits in the garage. the exhaust seems to kick out the side and rear pretty good. you can watch it in the driveway at idle when its cold at night. I have the turndowns at about a 45 degree angling away from the middle of the car. exhaust getting into the car is prolly minimal.

I don't get any exhaust fumes coming through my vents with the heat on. I've got mine pointed straight down.
