Default Pacesetters or Jet-Hots

I am about to buy a set of Long Tubes for my 2001 WS6. Between Pacesetters and Jet-Hots, which would you buy and why. I can get Jet-Hots for $549.00 from AMS or Pacesetters from Texas Speed for 374.99. I am leaning towards Jet-Hots because they are coated inside and out. is this a good decision? I can't afford stainless or I would get them. Please tell out of these two which ones I should buy.

yes I read it several times, but it really doesnt answer my question. From what I understand the Pacesetters are built better now, but the thing that keeps me going back to Jet-Hot is the fact that they are coated inside and out. Does this really matter? Is it worth the extra $175.00?

IMO, no.
I'd get the Pacesetters personally but ONLY if I couldn't swing the awesome stainless QTPs.

whatever you do get "4" BAND CLAMPS to install them, dont use U horse clamps. trust me, just had 4 band clamps put on, tack welding (early pace Y pipe) the fronts but leaving the tail piece of the Y just clamped.

there was massive carbon tracing (IE exhaust leaks) at all points where the horse U clamps were used, very obviously, and they dragged.

The band clamps were put on then the dude precisely cut the bolts since they were a little long (possible catch on something).

gee now my car doesn't stink when i turn on the heat (non-ac) at idle with the windows up.

if you get them 3" at a truck exhaust store you'll probably pay 1/3-1/2 of the sponsors but i didn't realize that till i went to the exhaust shop. They marked their clamp (same exact product) up to $5 where as it was $9 from a sponsor plus shipping.

matter of fact they should throw in the necessary band clamps when you buy headers like pacesetters that slip on. stupid.

oh well. Just some advice, get the headers situated make sure you maul the floorboard/notch/whatever so they dont bang, then have them welded.

esp if you are lowered. The exhaust shop said if this doesn't keep them on they'll put skid plates on lol

cost me $55 (shop labor+clamp) plus 3 clamps from sponsor to get it right, im much happier now, its done. (for now)

ALL coatings will eventually wear off...stainless will last as long as the engine...however i'd rather spend half as much and get pacesetter's...especially since it doesn't snow here

Jet hots actually have a better collector which is where you pick up the extra few horsies. Except for that, I'll stick with the Pacesetters.

I love my Jet Hots. I am glad that I went ahead and spent the extra money. The fitment was excellent. No clearance issues on the drivers or passneger side. I didn't have to lift the engine on the drivers side to get it in. It slid in place just like the passenger side. There is a lot of clearance for the oil filter and oil drain plug as well. Here is a pic of the underside of the car. Hope this helps you out with your decision.
