SLP Ported/Polished Throttle Body

Any one have this yet?

These LS1 throttle bodies are precision CNC ported for maximum flow (56 cfm more than stock!) and feature a modified blade for reduced inlet-path restriction at WOT. Polished to a show-quality finish and engraved with the SLP logo, they make an ideal finishing touch for any stock or modified LS1 engine.

Please note that these are brand-new units that were removed from zero-mileage LS1 intake assemblies. Even better, no core charge is required!

NOTE: Fits LS1 F-Body and GTO only. Includes shown sensors. While supplies last.

Looks like a stock t/b blade to me. Like the cnc though.

Thats just SLP overcharging for stuff you can get better quality, for less, elsewhere.

Yeah, that is definitely a stocker with the ridge removed and smoothed out via CNC. Stock blade...nothing magical there. Typical SLP trying to make a buck.

Agreed cyphur, me and you do not polish; we mirror. Though mine are more mirror finish on the blade after I thin it than on the t/b inlet itself. Granted it will probably give ya a nice gain (5-7 hp) but the finish is lacking. The modifying of the throttle shaft is as contriversial as taking the ramp out of the intake port of a head, but I believe that helps big time without hurting reliability of the t/b.

I take the front of the shaft out when requested. As soon as I get my car back from the shop, my tb is getting re-done and the shaft is getting cut. As far as mirroring goes, I mirror the entire interior of the tb, except for the epoxy area. I can't get that **** to polish up for ****. Need to find a higher grade epoxy.

Might want to try that epoxy compound that body shops use on these new cars for quarter panels. That is some tough stuff and probably slick up if not polish out.

Ponitac GTO - welcome to the site. You'll quickly learn to not buy into SLP's claims. There is better and cheaper product elsewhere. Good luck with your GTO!

I probably would have bought a Jantzer, but I heard that it took forever to get them...not that I am doing any better, as you can tell from the bottom of my signature. ::yawn::: I am still waiting on my S3.

on the slp TB what your paying for is 10 bucks for the CNC work and 150 bucks for the engraved slp logo

We are caught up on orders and delivery times are better than they have ever been. We do have a few stock appearing ported TB's left for $100 in stock. Expect 3 days for a powder coated TB and 5 for a fully polished.

JRP:

I would grind that epoxy out of that TB and start over. It's soft and it's coming out.
