Default Need a little assistance(air lid)

Hey LS1 ers
I installed my SLP lid, everything went fine...then came the metal clamps.
I got it to stay on once, then while washing my care I heard a pop. I opened up my hood and i saw that both clamps have popped off.

So i what am asking, is there a good way to keep these clamps on?
Also the clamps are off and i cant get it to stay back on.

..i know i know "just push down with all your weight" but i do. I weigh 230 lbs and am an avid weightlifter, i think i can push a lot of force into it. hehe.

Well anyaws thanks in ahead, and any input would be great!

you might wanna check and make sure that the front lip of the lid is in front of the lip on the airbox...dont know how to better explain this...but i had the same problem at first with it fitting...

I know with my MTI lid you have to make sure it is pushed down and all the way BACK and far as it will go. Most of the aftermarket lids do not line up as "flush" as the stocker does. A good way to test to see if its on good and when you clamp it down give the lid a good smack on top and see if the clamps pop off.

The tabs on the back must be it the slots or the latches will pop. Also, tighten the clamp on the bellows last after latching.
