place for oil temp sender???

place for oil temp sender??? i've heard that there is a port above the oil filter for an oil temp sensor and/or oil cooler. supposedly it was designed for something in the vette and is unused in the f-body.
1) is this true?
2) if so, does the port by any chance fit the autometer sender for an oil temperature gauge???

Yes..
There is a little place to tap right above the oil filter. Took five mins to pull it out. I drilled it out and tapped it. Just make sure that you use a teflon sealant. I used teflon tape.
Works like a charm.
