Default Pics!!! Makin Macs Look Good!!!!

okay i got these headers and offroad y pipe today for 250$.. bout some 1200 degree ceramic type header/exhuast paint.. they were a lil dull and dirty but not rusted even tho they are old enuff to be.. so i just cleaned em up sanded em down and then my dad got ahold of them and sprayed them... i woulda done better tho and will prolly lightly sand and spray again as he missed some spots..
also going to do the y pipe! then im going to port the primaries out get some new header gaskets and bolts and get them suckers on! i think they look good for 1/2 the price of new ones!!! and whatever the hts coating is, "high temp spray paint" it would seem like, held up pretty well with no rust.. i think this will do even better, what do ya'll think???

Looks like you did a pretty good job cleaning them up. Personally I would have ported them first, then painted them but no biggie.

Oh yeah, the headers look good but that foot is naaaasty.

I would have gone with some coated long tubes before wasting my money in sending my macs to get coated at jet hot.

Thanks for your opinion Bad Blu... However, I would rather (and did) spend under $200 recoating my Macs to look brand new than spend $500+ on some low end LTs with potential fitment and clearance problems (and the requirement for a new Y pipe). If I went to longtubes I would have went Kooks and a new Y pipe, which isn't in the budget anytime soon.

Also, it's been shown time and time again that Macs don't lose that much to LTs. 5-8rwhp low end at most, and almost dead even in the top end. (See the Exhaust FAQ). I have under $500 in my entire exhaust setup and am making over 410 to the wheels on motor alone.

So much for wasting my money.

CarDomain must be having hosting problems, the link to the pic is correct.

He didn't waste his money getting them Jet Hot coated, he just painted them to look that way.
