They are slightly smaller, mount differently, and have a different connector. That's the physical difference.
Electircally, they charge slightly faster and deliver a little more energy to the spark plug.
People have run the car coils into the 900HP range already, and i'm running the truck coils well beyond the 1kHP mark.
The truck coils require some mounting and a different coil harness to make them work, but they are cheaper
