I had Speed Inc. fab up my duals - 3" into the x-pipe, 2.5" from the x-pipe all the way out the back into my CME. This was all mandrel bent and TiG welded. The raw materials didn't cost much at all, and I knew it. It was so labor intensive though that it really jacked up the price. You do get what you pay for though.

Here's the Speed Inc. setup for the curious few out there:

The paint isn't holding up too well that they put on, but that will soon be fixed with some of that wonderful high-temp Por-15 exhaust paint. All in good time Forgive me, but my car is a mess. I'm still cleaning it up from the wonderful trip that I took to Chicago to get this done. 24" of snow makes a car VERY dirty.

Clearance-wise, my car is lowered a little over 1.5" all around, and at the lowest point of the exhaust (driver's side after the collector), I have about 2.5" of clearance. Sorry, no pics of that. I haven't scraped it yet, and sure hope I don't.

This system was all mandrel bent, TiG welded, and uses Magnaflow bullets in the back. It is 3" into the x-pipe, and 2.5" out the rear. It sounds evil...very, very deep. Made some nice gains all around too...I don't have the graph hosted up, but I went from 333/348 (Kooks catted-y and Hooker) to 340/356, no tuning. My A/F went from 13.1 before to 12.5 after, and was dropping off at the end. I'm in pretty bad need of a tune, but that is coming soon. I'm hoping to bring that HP number up a little bit, and raise the torque up a smidge.

I took some pics today and my lowest point is also after the collector. I am not able to load the pics on my computer so I will have to have a friend do it for me tomorrow. Nice setup meentSS02.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I have an LS6 intake and you don't...I'm also starting to believe that some of our PCMs adapt better to mods than others. Mine is still on the fritz, but as soon as I can get HPTuners and a wideband (if you'll notice, I already have the provision for it on the driver's side after the band clamp), I'll get my tune in line.

Do I know you? Because you definitly just freaked me out by calling me by my first name...hehe

Okay here are some pictures. BUT I have had to have the driver's side redone since this picture because of a problem with the bend after the X-pipe/

Here are the pictures! Everything turned out well, except there is a little bit of the pipe that is NOT mandrel bent, but it is all good!

Are those welded to your headers? Yikes! I wouldn't have done that.

I welded the pipes to my headers as well not the best idea but isn't that big of a deal. I figured the shop would have flanges but they didn't so I said srew it I waited 6 months to put my headers and duals on so I had them do it. Might be a bit of a hassle when I do cam Clutch install soon. But thats ok...

Yeah it was do that or wait another week. And since I had the car there are stuff, I decided to go ahead and get it done. It really is not a big deal... I have got some band clamps and that is going to take care of it....

Crush bent is one thing. Mandrel bent is another. Wrinkle is even worse than crush.

You get what you pay for.

There is a science to Merges and crossovers and total crossectional area given. You are not paying for an 80$ crossover at Dr. Gas, but the science and development that comes with it.

Look dude I doubt that dr gas setups or your setup is making any more power the ours. I know you think it might be, but I seriously doubt it. Did you even read his numbers I think you should re-read!!! Plus it is a lot more overall then $80 dollars.

I dont doubt, I know.

If crush bent was the way to go, then Winston cup guys would use it.

Im not arguing over this, Im stating a point. you can take it or leave it.

The above pictures of the white TA are NOT mandrel bent.

Ok I will agree with you that engine, exhaust, parts etc. all have a science to them.
But all I'm saying is that I only paid $120 for my install and $300 total (pics coming soon) and I'm sure that it is no different then say your setup and I saved at least $200 if not more then most. Thats what we are talking about. Plus when you do stuff like this especially the first time it isn't perfect but even with his setup it obviously wasn't that bad that it had any signifacant change in his HP and TQ. That all I'm saying, No arguing here just clearifing..
