buyer beware smooth bellows on ebay.....
I was looking for a smooth bellows on ebay and came across this auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
Now I see there is another one on ebay.. I believe this entire rubber piece is, is a Fernco Plumb quick for a sewer and drains. It is 3 inches x 3 inches. And they cost about 3$ at any hardware store. I see they are going on ebay for up to 20$ I have tried this route myself and it fit on my 90mm TB but it was just a hair to short. I have a friend with a stock 01 TA, I gave it to him to try and he said it could fit but when hit reved the engine it slipped off. No curve in the boot, like SLP or MTI's
Anybody else try it with some success?
Just putting the word out with my experence...

I can't believe this guy is selling Fernco for close to 20 bucks. I swear people don't have a clue. How can you not know what is going on when you have this kick *** site full of information. I hate to say it but the guys who buy this are also the ones who buy the SLP H/C and header package because it is the best out there Not knocking the people who tried the stuff in the beginning....because of you I now know what works. It's just sad to see that people are still falling into these pitfalls. People are so oblivious sometimes.

Ah, but you get bling with the SLP bellows that you don't get with the fernco. That's the only reason I bought mine

I got the airflow for $13. Cheaper than the SLP. Fits better than the fernco. Its 3.5" on one side and 4" on the other, with a hump for flex.
As for getting hustled, i paid $20 for a skip shift eliminator. Wound up being a 50 cent resistor, which I already had. That wasnt what really ppissed me off... it was the $8 shipping when they mailed it an an envelope with a 37 cent stamp. Bastards!

why'd you buy the skip shift when you already did the resistor mod?

<--- fernco here
i put it in boiling water for about 30 minutes and it softened it up some, but not much. i have my black plastic under my airbox cut out by the MAF so it can ride lower and so my MTI lid would fit better and not break again. the fernco fit decently with a little trimming and looks WAY better than that factory one, and it definatly doesnt flow LESS

i have a 3x3 fernco. i got it on in less than 20 minutes. i just unbolted my air lid, then my maf, then the old rippley bellow. then i put on my fernco on the tb. then with my maf on my lid i slipped it on. it took some preasure but i did it. then i shut my lid, it was kinda hard to get it to close but it closed. has anyone tried it that way?
