Anyone running e-cutout in a borla instead of plates?

Default Anyone running e-cutout in a borla instead of plates?

I just blocked my passengers tailpipe with a solid plate today.After i put my cam in it was louder than before with no plates so i capped it.Just curious if any one had QTP cutout for the borla and what hp gains you get with it opened?I like the idea of being able to open and close it in the car.I have headers and ory it would be nice to put everything through the mufler while normal driving to keep the noise down and when it's time to play i can just flip the switch

I had that setup for a while, I never dynoed it to see if it had any power gains. I did run it at the track open vs closed and found no significant gains.(maybe .5 MPH)

I have the switch mounted in the ashtray and I open/close mine Every day, I love it.

How much is that set up? Do they have one that uses the Borla flange for the plates??

I put a DMH cutout in mine. I love it. Although the STS is going to do away with it...

I went from 368rwhp to 381rwhp when I opened it.
That was on TEA's dyno in August '04.
Torque went from 332 to 343.

That's too wierd. Paul at TR showed dyno graphs with no measurable difference on one of his employees cars. That's quite a difference.
