Default Mmmm... 5 points just for the cool factor

I just got this today and I gotta say, I think this thing is going to look sweet under the lid!

Don't know if I can expect too much more than my MTI setup is offering but it's far above in the eye candy dept. Plus, my ram air hood will actually be functional.

iPod is in there to show how big filters actually are.

Ya know, I got to thinking. It's going to be a problem driving this car in the rain isn't it? I mean, with those filters sitting right there sucking air through the ram air nostrils, there is litterally nothing keeping the water even deflected.

If you have the flaps in the hood you should be fine. I'm not too sure how your hood is set up. The WS6 hoods have deflectors in them.

It's an SLP hood and there are no flaps. Hmmm.... guess it's time to start looking into a home fabrication solution.

So does this sit under the lid or does it replace it? Is it effective only on hoods that have the inlets on the front. Would it still work with a stock SS hood and be effective, and how much did it cost?

It replaces the lid and as I have an SLP ram air hood, it will pull air directly in through the "nostrils"

Here's the one for a Camaro

$330... they ain't cheap.

Don't worry about rain, with the oil on the filter you shouldn't have a problem with water getting through.

Yeah, unless you hit a huge gathering of water at pretty high speeds, you shouldn't have to worry a lot about the water-in-the-engine ordeal. But with just about any aftermarket induction setup, if you hit big-water hard, it's gonna be trouble.

Looks pretty sweet, but I'd rather see one big filter, similar to the K&N FIPK. I like how it seals off the hot-air engine bay area, good design.

I expect dyno/track results soon???

It shouldn't be too hard to do. I'm sure you can find something in Home Depot to help ya out.
