Here is a shot the Magnaflow X I used on my truck.

As you can see by the red circles there is alot of area inside the X. It's huge in there. Should have put a little GI Joe guy in there for perspective

my x-pipe was fucked up just like JRP's, my uncle took it to work, put it in the bansaw and cut it inhalf. the cleaned it all up and re-welded it. looks perfect on the inside now, they should come that way when you buy them, too bad they are so shoddy

The magnaflow is a chamber, not a true crossover. The chamber alters the flow so much vs being a somple equalizer, that it actually hurts HP. Dr. Gas all the way.

Does this effect the sound? Why did Magnaflow not go with a "somple equalizer"? (feel free to eduacate me on what that is)

I like the Magnaflow X and believe it would mix better, IMO. I can't believe that they would not know what they are doing.

Pardon my spelling error. Simple Equalizer.

I have tested every X pipe known to man, and the Dr gas has them all beat. Crossectional area vs tube diameter vs length and width of the actual merge all have an affect on the power and/or area under the curve.

If you know anything about C5 headers, you know the most powerful Longtubes on the planet are the LG Pro LTs. Look at that X pipe and judge for your self.

Sound is completely changed with different X Pipe configurations.
