whats the order that the coil packs should be in on a 98?

What do you mean "order"? Each coil goes directly above the plug that it will be firing......

i think he means what order do they go in if you take them off and want to put them back on.

there's no way you can really screw it up, just line the bracket holes with the ones on the valve covers. coil packs arent bank specfic either.

like the wiring harness that plugs into each individual coil pack, theyre labeled with 1/8, 3/6, 5/4, 7/2....theyre supposed to go in a certain sequence, does ne one know the proper order?

are you sure your not confusing the coil pack harness with the fue injector sensors?

front to back...

driver side, 1-3-5-7
pass side, 2-4-6-8

so on the passenger side it should go 7/2, 5/4, 3/6, 1/8
and on the driver side 1/8, 3/6, 5/4, 7/2?
