True Duals out the back question. I have TSP true duals and I loved the way they sounded. I had to run my duals out the back (pulled over because dumped under car). Now I have a little RASP since they are ran out the back. Before there was none. Why would adding a little bit of pipe cause me to get this RASP problem again. I had it bad when I had a ORY so I had to get rid of it. What are some solutions other than cutouts back under the car?
A second set of bullets, but that really quiets down the exhaust. Oddly enough, i had some rasp when I had dumps and simply adding some pipe reduced both rasp and volume, although the pipe had alot of bends before the straight section. I later added a second set of 12" bullets to kill off some drone i had.

Thanks for the info. I don't really want it quieter(sp?) I just want to get rid of the RASP. Mine dont have a lot of bend in it at all. I don't really want to add the weight of 2 more mufflers either. I was hoping I could find some mufflers to replace my bullits. They sounded so good till they got ran out the back. I don't understand why it's like that.

When I experimented with duals on one of my older Z28's (84 model with built 355) I had a set of flowmaster mufflers at the back of the car with just a tip coming off of it and it was raspy. Put them under the floor and ran pipe out the back and it was deeper.
Bottom line, the exhaust was alot tamer when I Had the mufflers about 1/2 way in the exhaust as it had more pipe to supress the sound from the muffler.
Mine went from hi pitch and raspy with the mufflers at athe back to deep and and throaty similar to a stang ( they do atleast sound good ).

I forgot exactly how much but to get mine ran out the back and SFC it was a little over $100. I would post up some pics but mine is a little low right now. I think it's the new motor mounts. I'm gonna be doing something different soon. I'll let you know what I do.
