Default Ported TB

I've been talking with Jantzer and Shaner about throttle bodies. Not sure who to order through or if there is really much of a difference between the S3 and Jantzer's products. I'd appreciate any opinions.

You will find fans and haters of both guys. Performance wise they do the same things. I would lean towards Jantzer because he takes the time to powercoat the TBs and clean them up while Shaner just leaves it stock and dirty.

Oh, comeon guys, do a search on the forum....don't throw your money away.

Jantzer is off the deep end and owes dozens of people money and there TBs.

Be a bit more careful with your $s, unless you got so much you want to throw it away.

I can't say anything bad about my Shaner S3. Sure, he leaves the outside alone (and I mean alone...he doesn't touch anything other than the throttle stop), but the inside sure is pretty. Very smooth transition into the center...very nice.

If you get a Shaner, make sure you pay attention to what you pull off your old TB for your new one. There is a little gasket or o-ring (if I remember correctly) that would be easy to miss if you were not paying attention. Could make for a good vacuum leak.

Not to hi-jack but right in line with this thread kindah...

What type of power gains could one expect from one of the ported throttle bodies on a car with just longtubes, exhaust, a lid, and a tune? I've been thinking of getting one of these or doing my own...

thanks!

Since I have no interest in bling I was more than pleased to
do my own. It's not difficult. It looks like any other stock
TB but inside it's perfect. Mods? I have no mods.
