Z06 Intake: got a 99 LS1 w/EGR and want to get rid of it. is it ok to order a Z06 intake w/out EGR and cap it at the engine. or should i just get the one with the EGR and do the infamous EGR mod (cutting it) what's the best route to take on this one.

get rid of the egr! Get the car tuned and get rid of the egr. That is what i did. If you are not able to get the car tuned then just cut the egr and get the manifold with egr.

On my old LS1 intake, I plugged the hole and removed the EGR and A.I.R. pump, then. I removed the two pump fuses. I bought a $2.00 plug from Advanced Discount Auto and just lived with the SES Light.
Later, I looked at the part# on my wife's 2002 Trans Am intake and went looking for a LS6 intake and installed it on my car ... turns out, it's the same part# as a 2002 Z06 intake. After the swap, I got the car tuned and it runs great.
