Default LS2 Coils on a LS1?

I am in need of ignition coils for my LS1 swap and need some input on the LS2 coils over the LS1/LS6. Are the coils compatible with the LS1 PCM and harness? Is the spark any hotter?
BTW I look at the MSD's and I don't want to pay that much.

Call NAPA and see if the same part # works for both engines.

Just a thought.

There was something in Hot Rod this month comparing the LS2/7 to LS1/6 and apparently the coils have diff. wiring harness connectors.

Hope this helps.

I read as much as I could about them and the guy said they would work. I know that doesn't mean crap but they came NEW with a harness and bracket. With any luck the harness will work with the LS1 engine harness but that’s not a big deal either because these are going in my IROC. I just dont want to run into an engine that will not start and later track it down to the coils. Lets see a new LS1 engine into a 90 Iroc with all new sensors and harness. Man that leaves me open to about a million problems I could run into.

Thanks for the info and ideas guys!

Still cant see spending 68x8=$544 for coils yet. Hmmmm a group purchace would be nice, and if the price is right, i bet alot will be sold. Who can get started on this?
