Default Headers and ORY w/ Loudmouth..Bad Idea?

I've had my 2000 TA for about 2 months now and it came with the Loudmouth and SLP lid only. I'm wanting to do a header and ORY setup now, but don't know how crazy loud it's going to be with the Loudmouth on there.

Does anyone have any direct experience with this? I'm leaning towards the Pacesetter Headers w/ TSP ORY or the Hooker LT's w/ TSP ORY. Would this be an advisable setup? I've read and read and searched and searched so I don't want to be asking the same questions everyone else does.

I've also read some problems with some ORY's slipping into the I's. Does the TSP Y have this problem? I've sent them an email, but haven't gotten a response just yet. Any response or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

LM w/headers and ORY is gonna be hella raspy, if you're gonna stick with the loudmouth i would advise a catted y-pipe, or put a bullet in the i-pipe of the LM to help tame it down(some have had to do both to achieve a good sound). either way its gonna be LOUD.

ORY & LM sucks nutz. Get cats or put some kind of a muffler on your I pipe.

its going to snap, crackle and pop like a crazy. most people are putting a borla XR-1 or dynomax bullets in the i-pipe and helping fix the problem.

So the TSP has a much less agressive note to it? I haven't even thought of the possibility of this exhaust so I haven't looked into it much. I am kind of getting tired of how raspy and noisy the Loudmouth is.

So the TSP already has a bullet muffler in it? I couldn't tell from the pictures. I just thought it was a resonator just like the SLP. Thanks for the responses so far though. I greatly appreciate it.

From my understanding, with SI, and except open headers, this is the loudest set-up posible. i plan on doing the same set-up and will put a resonator or bullet muffler if it is that bad. I want it loud so, it's all preferwnce. The best thing to do is try and see if you can find someone with the set-up you are looking for and listen to it. the next best thing is to go to LS1sounds.comn and hear a few of the samples.
Good luck.

A temporary solution would be to replace the resonator w/a muffler. I don't think it's a good solution for the loudmouth w/headers, depending on what your willing to listen to. I have the LM with the XR1 Borla in place of the (sic) resonator and it's fine for me-but I don't have headers and still have cats.
There is something inherent w/the LM that causes some weird tonal changes at certain RPM. Some love it anyway, some hate it. M6s can shift around town and stay sometimes out of the "raspy" sound- us w/A4s have it a little harder.
When I get headers, the 1st thing to go (besides my brains when my wife shoots me) will be the LM.
Now, where was that 1968 Superbee exhaust sound file.....
