Thanks for the replies. It looks like I'll be going with Lane's then. I've considered getting one of those universal kits from Jegs or Summit, but with Pacesetters, the kit needs to be modified to fit, at least on LT1's and I don't think I'd really end up saving much $ and may not get as much clearance. But if anyone has gone that route, speak up as I'd certainly be open to doing that. I watched my friend piece together true duals for his 79 Z28 with 40 series and helped a little on the install, and I don't want to be redoing anything to get adequate clearance like he did much less mess ruin the exhaust from scraping everywhere.

Had some Lanes on the old car and setup....
Loved them...sounded Mean as hell...and no drone... just a great rumble....
no clearance problems...
the guy who bought my old setup...just lowered the car..and he says no clearance problems at all...
an dinstall was a breeze...in all my mail order exhaust to fit longtubes...they went on easier than any other setup I have ever done... I intsalled my longtubes in about 4 hours...(yes I am pretty quuick...I have done them soooo many times) and duals went on in another 20 minutes total...hangers and all....by myself......

I have lanes duals. I scrape my LT's, but the cat back has never scraped. Got the 12" bullits, and i had lane install them himself. Nice guy, but more importantly very proffesional. oh, and drones only bad if you it annoys you. I love the drone i get from my bullits. Hell, i paid enough for the exhaust setup, I wanna hear it when i drive.

I do try to help other members on here with many other issues though - other than just exhaust...
