Adding Flowmaster collector to Hooker Y-pipe?

Adding Flowmaster collector to Hooker Y-pipe? Adding a collector to the Hooker/Jet Hot y-pipe might be tough to do due to its design, but has anyone done it and seen any gains? Or, has anyone gone from a Hooker/Jet Hot y-pipe to a custom y-pipe w/ a collector and seen any gains? I can get a y-pipe w/ collector for cheap so I was wondering if it was worth the trouble of swapping them.
I had considered trying this but, it would not work without a lot of modification. The legs of the Y-Pipe come into the merge area at the wrong angles. I ended up selling the Y-Pipe and bought a QTP Catted Y-Pipe. The benefit of adding the Flowmaster Collector is better sound. The tone would be deeper and eliniate rasp. If you could, just get different y-pipe.
