Default DS loop clearance

Which loop will clear ok with the Kooks y-pipe and the Qtp y-pipe? Not sure which way I'm going yet but I'm putting in a 12 bolt new drive shaft and loop all at the same time as well. Will the SLP or BMR or any suggestions?

Lakewood 2-piece will clear anything! 50 bucks or so, and you lose zero ground clearance as well

I have the QTP y-pipe with cats and SLP loop. If I remember correctly I have about a half inch of clearence between the y-pipe and loop. I haven't had any problems with it, but then I am using poly mounts.

search it on summitracing.com It looks goofy but it's a nice piece! it's slightly adjustable as well to fit your needs, bolts right up to the tunnel brace. I got it mainly cuz it was cheaper. I know I know it's not powdercoated...

lol, paint it? I just threw the "can't no one see it anyway" bastard on! You see that triangular part? That'll clear any Y-pipe! Cept maybe a big aftermarket flowmaster collector or something. The BMR and others are nice ones too but hang a little too low for my tastes.

I suppose it looks smaller than it is? If it will clear a Kooks Y then I'm game.

I am thinking about using it. It looks like it'll clear the duals I am going to run, also makes a great piece to run a hanger off of.

yea I have a Lakewood DSL with my Mufflex Y, which is same as the QTP Y and I don't have any problems with it. The spohn is the same design as the Lakewood, but you can it powdercoated either black or red, but it's also twice as much ($95). Here's a pic of the Spohn....

I think I'll go with the lakewood for cheaper. Can you put that one on without taking out the DS?

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but did anyone have to disconnect their aftermarket y-pipe from the exhaust to get the Lakewood on? I messed with it a little over the weekend and couldn't figure out a way to get the crossmember piece positioned over the y-pipe and back down to connect to the brackets that bolt to the car. Didn't have enough clearance to position it in place and didn't feel like messing with the exhaust at that point. Thanks for any info.

I cut about 1/4 inch off one corner of the loop section in order to install without dropin the DS. I also had to use washers to shim.

Does anyone run the Lakewood or BMR w/ TSP duals? My current BMR wouldn't clear the QTP OR Y-pipe I had. If the BMR doesn't work w/ my duals - it's for sale and I'll be looking for something else.

They do look identical, both seem to fit good

I didn't have to drop my Y to get the loop on, but I did have to disconnect the DS from the rear end to get the loop on, but it was pretty easy.
