the manifolds are bolted to the cats, which is bolted to the y. putting them in yourself isn't very hard, just takes time. when you go to tq them down, go from the middle out. 11 ft/lbs on the first pass, then 18 ft/lbs on the second pass. open headers is VERY LOUD. it shook my car, house, etc. just idling.

My room is above my garage, and idling with just a cat back shakes my floors. I won't be able to put the y in myself, because it is welded and I dont' have the tools

Good to hear man. Also, how many clamps did you need for the Y? Does the car feel noticeably quicker now?

i have a catted Y and i had to use 6
-2 for each header collector to the Y (1 for driver side, 1 for passenger side=2)
-2 for the 4'' to 3'' merge from the flowmaster collector to the I pipe
-2 for the driver side cat (1 before it, 1 after it)

unless your planning on changing it out later, i would recommend just getting it welded after you get it on...its more sturdy, and solid feeling...just what i intend on doing atleast..

to be honest i dont really know if its quicker...i went from True Duals to a catted Y and catback...i havent really gotton on it fully yet, b/c i didnt want anything coming loose (my fear of clamps) so after tomorrow ill let you know!

how easy is it to break the stock manifold bolts loose?? i worried about breaking them off into the head should i be worried about this?

also ive notice on the passenger side the alt braket is held in with exhaust bolt did you guys reuse that bolt or just ditched the bracket?

i have pacesetters on order and should recieve them in a couple of week and will be doing the install myself, ive got o2 extensions for the front sensors and new plugs, wires and o2 when im doing the install. is there anything else i would need?

spray them down with some WD40 and let it soak in over night.
