Default NX TB anybody tried it yet?

Just looking I like the look of it and the size it seems to be right for a small c.i. built motor. I wonder about the spacer restriction though for an ls6 intake. Is this going to be another BBK non performing TB without the dedicated intake NX is going to offer? Anyone have any info on it yet?

I'm been running the NX 85mm throttlebody, and the NX adapter to fit it on a LS6 intake, for about six months now and it works great. The TB is a very high quality piece of work. It has a stiffer return spring than a stocker which helps me keep my foot out of it. It also seems to have a faster tip in than a stock TB. There is absolutely no throttle sticking as with some competitors units. I was running a Bauer ported TB prior to installing the NX TB. After changing only the TB, dyno numbers went from 406 to 413 with no changes to the tune. The most surprising thing was how much steadier the idle was after installing the NX TB, especially when the engine is cold. I'm running a 232/240 .595/.609 lift 112 lsa cam in my A4 car and it doesn't have the nicest street manners so I was very surprised at the improved driveability of the car after the install. I am very pleased with the unit and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I like that TB! To bad it won't hook up to the Fast 90mm intake.

yeah, they do look like a nice piece....

maybe a custom bracket cn be made for a 90mm fast intake setup.

Will a 85mm tb be THAT hindering when compared to a 90mm on a fast 90mm intake?

Just off-hand on a 348 I would think it would be the best of both worlds to get that tb on a fast. "Brain... are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

I wonder what would be needed to fab that to fit a 90? It can't be that hard to fabricate an adapter?

Wouldn't think so, anybody got any insight on the possible added low/mid tq. this set up would give?

looking at the pic of the adapter it looks like you could mill out the back of it to adapt to the 90 mm FAST intake. I am going too look into this a little. I think the bolts holes are the same. not sure though.

how about glueing in a 2.5 mm plastic ring to the inside of a 90 mm Fast and let it stick out into the chamber a little bit with a little edge for anti-reversion and just bolt the tb to the fast that way? I still need to finid out if the bolt holes are close.
