nice v6 exhaust... I know this is LS1Tech but a friend of mine's sister just got a '00 v6 Camaro (4th Fbody in his family) and he was wondering about an good over all cat back, that has some good tone and is not to loud or obnoxious or ricey or anything like that. I mean no fbody should stay stock right....? Any info would be great...thanks.

The stockers off an LS1 car will fit fairly easily...Flowmaster is still very popular on them, although I think it sounds worst than most any I've heard on the V6 cars. Also, any LS1 catback can be made to work with the SLP install kit #30054 I believe. It comes with the hangers you'll need for an LS1 catback, and an 'S" pipe for right after the cat to adapt to the 3" catback. They're about $65 or so most places.
This is probably more than she wants to do, but on the '02 3.8l I had, i put pacesetter headers, hi-flow cats, and a 3" hooker catback, and it actually sounded good. Very deep and mellow with little drone or rasp. No matter what she does though, stay away from Flowmaster, very loud and obnoxious with alot of interior resonance.

anyway seriously I have heard my buddy's 95 V6 and I gave him my stock catback when I got the magnaflow a while back, and it sounds pretty good on his car. its got nothing on the V8 of course, but its not whiny or ricey at all. anyway good luck

Yea that sounds a decent veture...plus a stock catback wouldnt be too expensive. He would be putting it on so she would have to do the work and i might help out as well, so doin the work wont be a problem. Thanks for all the help.

Yeah go stock Z28. I had it it sounded decent. I also had flowmaster, it sucked ***. I now have magnaflow, it sounds good, but it doesnt sound good on a stock car, I have full exhaust (headers, cat, mufller).
