Default Do Sweet Thunders flow well?

I have STG II heads and a monster cam going in along with nitrous. WE're looking to hit 560rwhp. I'm planning on going with true duals, however was curious if the sweet thunders flow well (the chambered inside looks like it obstructs flow). I love the sound of them compared to bullets...but if bullets flowed better I would go with them so I can maximize power. Thanks for your inputs.

What would you go with?

I'm not so sure that they'll support the power that your looking to make. The 3" Sweet Thunders have a 2.5" core. I think that's going to choke you pretty good, that's the only reason I didn't buy them.

Thanks. I figured at power levels over 400 this would reduce potential power due to the restriction inside. However, I'm not quite sure if this is true. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Get Moroso Spiral Flows or Flo Pro Twisters. Both are basically the same and flow as well as bullets but are quieter, especially interior drone.

For that kind of power, I would want the full 3" available. Peace of mind that I wasn't losing power, if nothing else.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking for good flow and LOUD! Sounds like bullets are the way to go...too bad, I liked the sounds of the thunders...

thunders are plenty loud, and aren't really gonna restrict you as much as you might think. you won't run into a problem unless you're gonna try and push more than 550 or 600hp. especially if you're running sweet thunders dumped at the axle.

With a true dual and Sweet Thunders you will have 5" of exhaust between them with a 2.5" inner diameter. And as for restriction you can see right through them.

he's not gonna lose 30hp from the thunder's. if he wants the sound, he should get them. i think 5rwhp(if that) is worth great sound.

it was an over-exaggeration to emphasize a point i'd love to run true duals but its just too loud for a daily driver when i have my two little girls.

2.5" will support up to 450 rwhp. A 3" system reduced to 2.5" in the mufflers may support a little more - may not depending on the muffler(s).

For MAX power I would probably recommend straight bullets, but it will be crazy loud... Twisters will still make excellent power - if not identical - but will not be as loud when cruising.

Thanks all for your replies. This is not a daily driver so the drone/loudness doesn't bother me.

Lane -
Do you know approximately how much power would be lost using Sweet Thunders compared to Bullets? Is it something like 5rwhp or something more like 15-20? Also...do you recommend 12" or 18"?

For 5rwhp I would be willing to sacrifice for the sweet sound, but if it's 15 and above I wouldn't.
