me personally, I would buy it from GM, but you also go to NAPA, Autozone, or Advanced Auto. I would check the prices and then make a decision. You get the part # off it and see how much it is at gmpartsdirect.com. GM parts are usually cheaper there then at the dealerships.

Just pull your belt off and spin the pulley by hand see it it feels rough. I would try the belt first if it hasn't been replaced because it needs it anyway. These belt sqwill every time it is moist outside. When I put belts on I have to pull the tensioner up further usually because the belt is so streached! So I would try the belt first!

My car has a chirping sound for about 10 seconds after shutting down the engine. Im pretty sure its coming from the fans (they're the only thing still moving after shutting down the engine). While its running, I imagine its there also but my exhaust is too loud to hear it.

It drives me nuts, because it will only do it when warmed up, which in that case i would imagine its the pully. My brother made a smart *** remark about I have a bird stuck under the hood, but at least my axle is not blown like his.

I agree just take the surpentine belt off and turn by hand all the pulleys. You could by a new pulley or first try repacking the bearings on the rough turning pulley. I had my ac pulleys making a lot of noise and repacked the bearings and now all quiet. Take the pulley off and spray some carb cleaner and use a metal brush to clean them. Then take the smallest size flathead screwdriver and remove the pulley seal, be very careful not to damage the seal. Then get your carb cleaner again and clean. Next take some bearing grease and reback the bearings. One tip is to spin the pulley on your finger and if it's not spinning smooth then add more gease until it is. Reinstall the seal and pulley. I just saved you from having buy but a new pulley.

I had this problem for a long time.
Take of ALL the tensioners/pulleys - including AC.
Clean them with brake cleaner and spray them with sylicone.
Buy two new belts.
Tighten the crank pulley bolt.
That should cure the problem....
