Wella re you dumped before the axle or are your pipes all the way out the back?

I would say get 2 electric cutouts before some flowmasters-i kno $$ but itll sound great, while they are closed and will be F*cking loud, and then when your friends are sitting next to you, open the cutout should take a couple seconds and punch it!

well yea i got it dumped at the rear end. i was considering taking my car to a muffler shop having them put a straight pipe in place of the gutted cats and taking off my 4x9's and installing sweet thunder mufflers and then having them continue it out to the back. or how bout this i still have my SLP loudmouth how loud would it be if i bought an SLP y pipe with no cats and then put my loudmouth back on.

LS1 Sounds has a few on true duals. but the thing is everything sounds different in person than on video. i heard one on there of a trans am with LT,x-pipe, and sweet thunder mufflers continued out to the back and i may say i think i am leaning towards those cause it sounded loud but a deep loud.

I have heard XR-1s and they are kind of raspy but loud as hell. I also heard a single chamber flowmaster that was almost too loud at WOT

If you want loud and dont mind losing a little performance throw the LM back on. I have mac mids with a custom catted y-pipe and the LM and it sounds awesome in my opinion. When Im driving by people, even crusing, everyone looks over because it sounds so loud and so good (in my opinion). When you get on it people will run scared or if you rev it next to someone elses car they will **** their pants. However you already have the true duals goin so you might want to try the dynomax bullet mufflers, they give a real nice agreesive sound and are the only mufflers that I would take in a true dual set-up over my current set up. I have a short clip with a couple revs outside my car if you want it with my macs and LM. Just send me your email address. Good luck though with whatever you choose!

I just took my LoudMouth off because the rasp from having headers just sounds rediculous. Now I'm just running out the ORY pipe and it sounds Like a freakin top fuel dragster! . It actually sounds really good, but it is loud as heck once you start giving it gas.

Straight pipes...or get the LM Resonators, they sell those seperately...Otherwise if it HAS to be a muffler, get the Dynomax or other bullet style mufflers...thats if the quality of the sound makes no difference

if sound quality matters get some Flows and jsut get dual cutouts

single chambers
1 chamber Flow's are all I'll ever run. They sound realllly good.

I would love to go with Sweet Thunder's as they sound great and are loud...however I'm also looking to push over 550rwhp after the build. I was told that Sweet Thunders would rob me some big power due to the 2.5" inlet. Looks like I'll be going with bullets.

A couple of bullet mufflers should be plenty loud. I have dynomax bullets and it's hella loud when I get on it. After the cam it is, of course, even worse.
We (purdue automotive performance association) recently had a callout show in the middle of campus and when we had a "sound off" my car would essentially drown out anything else. We're talking a head/cam LT1 with longtubes, no cats, and a borla cat back on one side of me, a '68 Camaro on the other side, a newer mach one, a modded '00 cobra, and some others. I had one guy come from halfway across the campus and ask which ONE of us was recently revving their car. This was after SIX cars sounded off at essentially the same time. I guess all he really heard was me.
