keep blowing exhaust gaskets?

Default keep blowing exhaust gaskets?

my damn header exhaust gaskets down by my x pipe on the vette keep seem to be blowing out, i was even using the soft copper gaskets now. any suggestions?

my headers use a 3 bolt type flange. should i consider new headers or what?

i guess you could try and get some high-temp rtv gasket maker and try that...i did that for my egr and air block offs it works fine

3 bolt flanges can be trouble sometimes. Notorious for blowing gaskets. I'd cut those flanges off and weld on V-flanges or ball flanges.

try some of that high temp rtv, get the copper kind, i used that on my old truck and it sealed it up like a charm

The gaskets generally blow because the flange is bent. Have a muffler shop straighten the flange then double up the rings and weld them. It won't blow after that.
