Default weird idle

my car idled at 1400 yesterday, then at 800 this morning (normal), and now at 1000. i don't know what's going on. from what i can tell everything looks good engine-wise. all i have is a lid, and i haven't done anything but add a little bit of oil in the last 6 months. no ses light either. anyone have a clue?

Make sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake.

it's still doing it. i can't find a vacuum leak. it will idle normal for a few days, then it'll go back up to 1400 and slowly work it's way down. i pulled my pcm eng and ign fuse also, and that didn't cure the problem. please, anyone have any idea what the heck is going on?

make sure the clamp is tight around the maff to the lid sometimes its hard to get it tight enough since the lid is hard plastic it may be throwing your air flow readings off

i'm not really sure how to check for leaks, but i definitely don't hear any leaks.

btw, it's starting to idle at 1400 only after 20+ minute drives. if i just make a quick trip it will not do this. i'm very confused and concerned.
