Default Muffler straight off y-pipe?

Hey everyone. I've seen this done before, just curious to see if anyone here has it, and just to see what it's like. I have mine running open y-pipe right now, until I install my exhaust and didn't mind the sound, so it got me thinking. If you have this setup, please let me know. Thank you as always.

I have a 40 series flowmaster right off the Y-pipe on my LT1 car. It sounds good but I'm not sure how it flows, it definately should outflow a 80 series crossflow.

I just recently installed a y-pipe and I hear like a stutter clatter only in the inside as I accelerate, but you can not hear it from the outside. Did you have this problem? A mechanic told me that is because there is a lot of more air flowing through the 2.75 diameter and maybe I should change the EGR valve and but put a performance chip.

http://www.ls1sounds.com/magnaflow/m...ts_burnout.ram

The car has hot cam, hooker lts, ory, and a magnaflow muffler off the ypipe. I think it sounds bad ***.

According to your sig your running a 4" mufflex? You should keep it and change the flowmaster for a 4" magnaflow muffler.
