True duals with Flowmaster single chamber mufflers??
For what it's worth, these are the only mufflers I'll ever run. Nothing else gives the LS1 a true muscle car sound like these do. No rasp or glasspack sound coming out of them. I wonder how the FM15 will sound through them? 
I am looking at getting these put on my TA. With my TR224 on 112LSA I think they will sound really good. I'm just worried that they won't give me any clearence. I am at stock ride height, so do I really have anything to worry about? If I have a muffler shop fab up my exhaust...i buy the x-pipe and flowmasters... how much do you think it will run me?$
On my 02 Z28 at stock ride height, I ran 3" duals with the one chambers dumped before the axle. I didn't have any problems, but with someone with me and going over a speed bump, the right muffler would barely scrape. By myself, I never had any problems though. Supplying my own mufflers and x-pipe, I paid $100. I think I got lucky on the price though, since the shop had never done duals before and I had pics of my setup I wanted. The first guy I went to quoted me $300 and said it'd take him all day, so I tried the another shop and they said "How's a hundred bucks sound?" They'd had guys wanting it done, but having never done it, they didn't want to try it and not do a good job. Since they saw the finished setup, they knew how to do it. Even then it only took them an hour. So you may want to shop around and print off some pics to take with you just incase.
I also heard some of these on ls1sounds. I just installed LT's and a true dual 3" thru and X-pipe with bullets on it and it is too loud to be pulling in and out of my house late at night b/c the noise is just too damn loud, lol. How loud are these? The bullets almost sound like open headers (I like it but the parents don't) Do the Flowmasters just have a deeper tone or are they just as loud? Any suggestions are appreciated as I have to get something really soon. Thanks
