What's considered a bolt-on?
I do not consider non OEM rockers, springs and/or pushrods as bolt ons...I normally would agree that once the valve covers are removed then the car is no longer a 'bolt ons only' car but this gets real complicated if/when one bends a pushrod, breaks a rocker or wants to replace their stock valve springs (due to valve float etc.) with new stockers.
So as an ammendment to the 'never removed valve cover' rule I would state that as long as one replaces anything broken with a bone stock OEM piece only (I'm talking stock LS1 springs, not the more common LS6 spring upgrade) then it can still be a bolt on car.
Anything rear or transmission related (clutch, converter, TH400 swap etc.) is still a bolt on IMO.

The way I see it a Stall and gears are borderline and can go each way. But I put them ont he bolt on side. Generaly Anything that is a direct bolt on where you dont have to remove anythign to get to it counts, and it doesnt interact with other stuff. (Headers, exhaust, Lid, TB, and possibly intake are all bolt ons.) Rocker you need to remove valve covers and they interact witht he springs and pushrods, therefor its not a direct bolt on. But it's something thats meere borderline as well due to the ease of access.
