It sounds pretty good on stock manifolds/cats. I ran one for ~18 months before I did headers/duals. If you plan to do headers and keep whatever cat-back you get you will want to get a different cat-back or plan on using cats with the new setup. It's not a very deep sound, but screams pretty good when you get on it and is loud all around. It does resonate inside the car around 2k-2.2k rpm's.

On a stock manifold and cat setup it sounds great. It is lightweight, stainless, and cheap.

as stated, they suck with headers, very raspy and not good at all.

although its a popular choice for stockish cars, some people would advise against them as far as the future is concerned.

check out ls1sounds.com and you will get an idea of how some stuff sounds.

LM is a great catback for the $$ I also think the TSP Rumbler is a little bit better and cheaper... When your ready for a performance CB and sound is not a big issue go with Maganflow

I love mine, but like previously stated, you get a drone at about 2k - 2.2k rpm's inside the car. This really annoyed me at first, but after a week and a half, that is my favorite part about it! While driving on the freeway and going under an overpass, I can hear the throatiness of the exhaust note echoing like crazy! Looking forward to my first pass through a long tunnel, hopefully the other drivers don't get too mad

The great thing about Loud Mouth is the flow and sound on a stock car without headers. I have an ORY and my car sounds great! I am happy.
If you plan to mod and put headers try out the loud mouth 2.

Go to SLP website!

I was just about to ask about the Loudmouth 2. According to the SLP site, it's not quite as loud and has less resonance inside the vehicle. Wondering if anyone here has it? I'm planning on Pacesetter headers and a Y, so I want a great sound that's not gonna **** off all my neighbors, but still pretty free flowing. Sorry Ivan, not trying to hijack ur thread!

I liked mine on stock manifolds. I have headers and catted y on and it sounds even better and a way lot louder. I get so many looks from people eyeing my car up and even turned a kid that liked VWs and didn't really even like camaros to wanting one after he heard mine.

I get compliments on my exhaust all the time on how "badass it sounds", etc. I LOVE the way it sounds, and when I get the Pacesetter LTs and ORY, I plan on changing out the LM's resonator for the LM II's "muffler".

Should be an interesting sound.

It's great with stock exhaust, and like others say it is very very light. I shipped a SLP Dual-Dual and it was around 70lbs in a box, when I got my loudmouth in a box it was around 10-15lbs.

When you get LT with or without cats buy a Borla XR-1 Round Sportsman Racing Mufflers:

Here it is on my SS:

It takes away almost ALL the rasp and backfire and I get a ton of compliments on it.

Peace,
Craig.

Crager: Of all the undecar pictures I think yours looks about as clean as any I have seen. How is your underbody so clean and rust free? Besides living in texas and avoiding salted roads. salt

GMMG and Corsa have a much more high quality sound than the LM , and sound good even w/ a full exhaust and no cats, unlike the LM.
