Banging Y pipe solutions?

As for the crossmember or whatever you want to call it that is under the console. We shimmed it with a couple nuts before putting it back on. No problems there.

the drivers side of the y pipe. we didnt kink it and got it down close to an inch

I put the left side of my catted y in a press and ovaled it a little. I got the cat within 1/4" of the brace and put in this hanger:

I have no banging issues.

Also I think it is important to have somthing holding the y-pipe on the right as well. I bent my factory hanger to mount onto the bolted connection between the cat and y.
