I run the NGK TR55-IX {Iridium} Plugs.

I chose them after some extensive research, and after an 'experiment' on the g/f's Mustang. She has a 1998 GT, and the dealership never could tune a ping out of the car, and the g/f had to run premium gas during warm weather.

So after reading good reports of the Iridium plugs, I tried them in her car first. Ping disappeared, even on hot summer days with 87 octane.

So when I installed my headers, I changed to the TR55-IX plugs also.

Hope This Helps!

I ran ac delco iridiums for a long time but I read on here that most everyone likes the NGK tr55s so I switched. The tr55s dont compare to the iridium plugs at all in my opinion. My car idles rougher and just dosent run as good with the ngks I would put ac delco iridiums in which I will be doing again very soon lol

Everyone makes newbie mistakes and mine just happen to be the Platinum +4 plugs lol. A friend of mine has a Harley F-150 and he had one of his iridium plugs fouled on him really bad. When he had it dynoed, the guy said that iridium plugs are no good. Anyone heard of this? So its either between NGK tr55's or the ac delco iridiums if anyone can chime in. Is there anywhere I can search on this? Ive looked and cant really find too much. Also, if I went with the tr55s, how often do they have to be changed? i dont want to change them all the time. Pain in the ***!!! Thanks for your help.
