A lid is a lid, both offer the same gains etc... just go with the one that you like the most. I would go for the MTI though.

SLP is made of the same (more durable) material as the OEM lid. It will last longer. That was why I chose mine. SLP is the only company I know of that makes their lids out of the same material. Less prone to cracking. SLP did at least one thing right.
Wow, my MTI lid is 5-1/2 years old! I better throw it away since it should not last right? lol
Looks like the day I bought it.

Don't be bias since you have a SLP lid.

Peace,
Craig.

The spoiler doesn't surprise me. Actually I have seen some factory cars with bumpers that don't match, especially the front. I think it has something to do with it being made of a different material, or being prepped differently or something. For the SLP stuff it is probably just lack of attention to detail.

The SLP lid is the best fit & finish on the market. All lids flow the same. GMHTP Magazine did an article on them. SLP rated first.

Wrong!

That article said SLP (I think) showed more power on the dyno, but the MTI was the fastest at the track. Again, don't be bias because you have the SLP lid, and get your facts straight.

Bottom line a lid is a lid.

Peace,
Craig.

It depends on how much you screw with it. I mess with my car all the time, so the intake goes on and off quite often. The other lids are definitely more prone to cracking. A lid may be a lid, but sometimes (depending on your application) it pays to get something you can beat the heck out of. As for power, they are all within a reasonable margin that I would not worry about it.

Very true on how much you take it on and off. The one on my 427 SS has been off more times then I can count in the past 4 years. Plus it came off of my 2000 T/A that I totaled. The front end was gone on my T/A, the lid and Granatelli MAF just popped off and was resting on my intake without a scratch. If THAT does not tell you about the quality with the MTI lids then I have no clue as to what will.

A lid is a lid is a lid is a lid. They will all make the same power/times and come on and off as many times as you want. The fit will only be an issue.

Peace,
Craig.

I like the carbon fiber ones as well, I have them on both of my cars. But I also like how the SLP lid has the provision for the air pump line.

Peace,
Craig.
