Default looking for new ORY to fit QTP...

im in the market for a new ORY that will go with my QTP headers...im looking at this mufflex (LS1Y-3) just curious if anyone has tried this with some QTP headers? if not it looks like my only option is to get the QTP Y, but im tring to stay away from the price tag of that Y....any recommendations would be appreciated....thanks

The Kooks y-pipe is a direct fit to the QTP Headers. I'm currently running the Kooks 3" in/4" out y-pipe on my car. Excellent ground clearance and installs a TON easier than the QTP piece, but I lost the cutouts.

I was not happy with the QTP Y. If I was doing it again I WOULD GET THE KOOKS Y.

Let us know how it all goes together. I got the QTP's too and was looking for a different Y pipe since I had heard about the fitment issues. Nice to hear the Kooks fits the QTP's.

I like the QTP Y-Pipe for the flowmaster merge and the cutouts, but there was a 2 to 3 week wait when I needed one and thats why I went with the QTP.
My previous QTP fit fine, it just took longer to install because it had more pieces.

I was not happy with fit of the QTP. Driver side hangs low. We had to cut and weld to get to fit better. When I put on the Spohn 405 torque arm that should clear it, the y hit. We had to heat the pipe and bend it out of the way. By the way heating the pipe and hitting it with a hammer work very well.

Don't know Travis, Brandon said he talked to Sam at Fastech and Sam said it wouldn't fit either. I'm looking for a Y pipe for my QTPs too. Now I wonder if the HVCs will affect the fitment

I seriously don't see how you guys had such trouble with your QTP ORYs. Me and a buddy did mine with just jackstands and we were laying on our backs. It took us maybe 45 mins to fit it all together and get clamped down. A few weeks later I took it to my exhaust guy and had him weld it up. It was worth it to me for the flowmaster merge. Its really not that hard to install. It tucks up decently also considering my car is lowered. The price of it on the other hand.....
