do what me and my friend did on his SS, get some header wrap, crunch it up, put it under the ypipe when you pull down on it and let the ypipe go. the force will keep it in there for a good while until it flattens out, u will hear it bang some when it flattens out. and it will keep the pipe from moving and banging. some use valve springs welded to the pipe

You'll be fine as long as when you drive you realize that there's a possibility that you may scrape on occasion. Use common sense and don't fly in to an uneven parking lot or drive over speed bumps very fast and you'll be alright.

I'll try to get pics of my Pacesetter LTs/ORY tonight as well, but I have PLENTY of clearance. It looks to be a bit lower than that stock Y, but not much. I am lowered about 1.8" (Hypercoil springs)

My setup looks almost exactly like WS6FirebirdTA00's pics....

Yes, you have the AIR system on your 99 (as well as EGR).

are you going to be running an off road y-pipe? If so, you wont need the AIR provisions on the headers. I really don't see a need for you to keep the EGR either. I'd just order the race style headers (no EGR or AIR provisions)

I've got the Eibach pro kit on my car. The headers tuck up nicely on both sides but at 2-1/2" my TSP y pipe is too low for my liking:

If you go with the TSP ory the piece that goes into the cat back needed some cleaning up. In the first picture I had already started grinding the one side before I thought to grab the camera.

To me it looked like they cut the hole in the Y with a hole saw after welding and just left it. It does look a little crappy and I'm sure it does not effect the flow enough to make a difference but I wouldn't put it in my car that way. -lol
It was pretty easy to grind so no big deal.
