Default QTP split timing cover

I installed the new cover. The thing is truly a work of art looks great. HOWEVER when I went to install the water pump there is a major clearance issue. The gasket doesnt even come close to touching on one side. I think if I grind a little off of the back of the water pump I can get it to fit. But this sucks. I am glad I'm doing it on the floor instead of in my truck.

Have you called QTP? I can't imagine that they would make a cover without planning for the water pump and I believe Barry stated that they tested the product thoroughly.
