i would go custom. i paid a local shop (friend) $145.00 for 3 inch bent piping, i bought my own mufflers and i dumped them before the axle. its loud!!! but i havent finished it will extended and exit in the back. not enough room under the car to keep the mufflers. i cant go over speed bumps....i would go custom and save some money.

the only one on that list that goes out the back is the bassani that i'm aware of. it'll most likely be the quietest as far as interior noise. i haven't heard any of the others as far as noise level ot hte back. all the others will need to be finished up by an exhaust shop to go out the back anyway. you'll also need to find an exhaust shop that can do mandrel bending to get the most out of it.

you didn't mention if you have headers. also, some states require exiting out the back (which you want to do anyway). you can try listening to ls1sounds of all the duals they have.

currently, the bassani system goes for 799.00/aluminized and 949.00/stainless. visit some of your local exhaust shops and see if they are willing to custom do duals. and get pricing. you might find out, with mufflers, you'll be getting close to 800.00 anyway.

I paid $125 to have a shop put all my stuff together. I bought the mufflers and the H-pipe separate. I'd recommend this because you can control to a degree how it is installed. I stayed under the car the whole time and basically directed them on where to put everything.

There won't be much difference at all in sound. The only things that should effect that are pipe diameter (small effect), H or X pipe (small effect), use of cats and muffler choice.

Same thing I did on my 02 Z. Cost me $100 for labor. Paid ~$160 for the Flowmasters and $100 for my x-pipe.

Default Help!!!

Can someone please compare each of these systems in detail. Like clearance and how hard each one would be to take out the back(b/c thats what im gonna do) and how loud each one is and whats the tone soud like compared to another. I sorta need a 2.5" setup but most seem to be 3"? Please somebody comment. And I have listened to ls1sounds over and over and over but it is so hard to tell by the file. It just doesn't do justice. And yes i have already searched and people have gotten all of these systems but I want to compare them all.

Thanks in advance

the bassani is a 2.5" dual system from start to finish. comes with a x-pipe. both pipes go over the right side of the axle into one muffler that's dual in/out. pics are on my websites. click the pink banner and the 00 formula link. no need for and aftermarket upper panhard rod. ground clearance is 4.5" at the lowest point which is the driver's side pipe from the cat to the x-pipe. pic of that is on the 00 formula link.

I have the TD's from Lane and I love them they tuck up very nice and the sound is great. They are not that loud in the car, definetly better than the LT's ORY and Dynomouth I had on the car before. They are more expensive than some but, the quality I recieved and the ground clearance made it worth it for me.

dude, as already stated if you want out the back then go custom. what your asking is apples to oranges. my TSP duals didnt have ground clearance for ****, yet you'll get people who have had no issues. sound is dependent upon mufflers and sound is subjective.

what you need to do is find a good exhaust shop in the area, buy the mufflers of your choice, X pipe (have the shop make one or buy a pre-fabbed dr. gas kit), and have the shop fit the setup to your car to allow the best clearance and fit. going custom gives you the flexiblity to have both pipes run over the passenger side axle or run a single pipe over each axle.

custom, no doubt. if you want the best, than contact Speed Inc and take a drive. otherwise get a local exhaust shop to build you a setup. check ls1sounds.com for clips of different mufflers.

I have a copy of the texas speed true duals except mine has shorter bullets. Ground clearance is better with mine compared to the texas speed kit for some reason. Go custom in my opinion lol
